Looking At Earth
P. Strain and F. Engle
Turner Publishing Inc.
ISBN 1-878685-16-3

Looking at Earth is an unprecedented portrait of our planet as seen from the heavens.  Continent by continent, we see Earth, not as shown on maps or globes but as it looks in images recorded by spacecraft, revealing aspects of this planet previously hidden from our eyes.

Some of the Earth's spectacular wonders - the Grand Canyon, Mount Fuji, the Andes - emerge in sweeping panoramas.   From space, we can see the enormous impact humans have had on the face of the Earth.

Looking At Earth was produced as part of the Smithsonian Institution's Columbus Quincentenary program.  The book is based on some of the research conducted for the highly successful "Looking At Earth" exhibition at the National Air and Space Museum.
