The crew of the Challenger had excellent observing conditions over the eastern Mediterranean Sea and along the coast of Libya during the shuttle's flight in October-November 1985. Eddies, ships and their wakes, a remnant of a stern-wake discharge conforming to eddy boundaries, and a well developed suloy came into their view as they orbited on an ascending pass that would carry them over the Aegean Sea and Turkey.Download 185.tiff high resolution TIFF file (8.4 MB)
